Life can throw some really difficult situations at us and when this happens, it can be difficult to stay positive and cope with everyday life, it can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or even depressed. I believe that counselling should provide you with an opportunity to explore any and all your personal difficulties in a confidential, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I work with and have several years of experience working with Adults, Children and Young People 11years and over.
You may have experienced feelings that are unexpected, painful and/or disorientating, leaving you feeling confused and unsettled. Our sessions are about you and your feelings, and my hope is that by providing you with a safe environment, you will have the freedom to explore and work through your thoughts and feelings; to enable you to identify and resolve issues, leaving you more confident, positive and poised to enjoy life. I work with people with either general or specific issues, both in the short term or over a longer term as appropriate.
We can offer in-person face-to-face appointments in a comfortable and easily accessible room in Aylesbury Old Town or an easily assessable wheelchair friendly office, close to the Aylesbury Parkway Train station at the Health Hub. Online or telephone Counselling and Psychotherapy from the comfort of your own home. Or Walk-n-Talk sessions on pre-arranged risk assessed routes. You can book a block of session or work on an ongoing longer term basis.
People often ask why? Why do you do this? Why did you start your training? Or make the statement 'oh, you work with teenagers!'
Well, my first personal experience of counselling was when I was just 15 years old, after experiencing a loss. I believe that the counselling I received and the counselling relationship that I was offered, that was none judgemental and empathic, allowed me to process my thoughts and feelings and move forward in a positive direction.
